About Us

AWANA stands for: Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.  It comes from 2 Timothy 2:15, which says, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

The goal of the AWANA Ministry at MABC is to help boys and girls know God better by memorizing and learning His Word while having lots of fun doing it.  We want to facilitate the conversion Paul talks about in 2 Corinthians 5:17 when he writes, ““Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

In addition to memorizing Scripture, the children enjoy stories, games and special nights!  Come and join the excitement!
