Update + Registration Info

Please register your children online for Awana today. Registration link is here. Opening Night is always on the Wednesday immediately following Labor Day.

We meet on Wednesday nights at Mount Airy Bible Church, 6:45-8:15pm.  Enter via the education wing main lobby (the “front” of the school building that faces Old Frederick Road).

  • The “Great Commission” is two parts: share the Gospel and make disciples. Awana does both in a fun and safe environment. Enrolling your children in Awana is a smart decision.

  • Christianity isn’t just for studying. It’s best applied by doing. Following MABC’s lead, we’re about making disciples who make disciples. It’s what Awana does with kids and adults.  Kids are prepared to serve at younger ages, and they’re given the chance to serve as Student Leaders, for youth in grades 7 – 12.

  • Awana is an incredibly rewarding ministry – it truly blesses those who serve. And right now, we are looking for willing servants. Can you help? Training will be provided, and it’s easy. Two requirements: you have to be 1) Saved and 2) a member of MABC.

Please Contact Us with any questions.

3rd-Grade-Shirt

Cool New Shirt for 3rd Grade

Awana introduces a new T-shirt design for 3rd grade this year.   If your clubber is registering for 3rd grade, you’ll need to order one of the new t-shirts.  Sorry, you can’t use a hand-down.  Please go to the T&T Order Page and let us know what size you need.  New style shirts are listed as “Uniform T-Shirt for 3rd Grade” on the order form.

Fourth graders continue to wear the “old” style shirts they had last year as 3rd graders.   If you need a new one, they’re listed as “Uniform T-Shirt for 4th Grade” on the T&T Order Page.

Please don’t hesitate to Contact Us with any questions (or concerns!).

Check out this very interesting article: 3 Common Traits of Youth Who Don’t Leave The Church.

When we listen to the witness of Scripture, particularly on the topic of conversion, we find that there is very little wiggle room. Listen to these words: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” (2 Cor. 5:17)

The AWANA Calendar at MABC

Google CalendarPut the power of Google Calendar to work for you and your family.

If your busy family has discovered the power of this free tool, you no doubt love it.  If you haven’t, we really encourage you to look into it.

Here’s how it works in a nutshell: your family creates their own Google Calendar.  Husband and wife access it from their PCs and smart phones.  It’s a great way to keep in sync as a family and know what everybody’s doing.

Now here’s the neat thing about Google Calendars.  You can integrate other calendars – like MABC’s AWANA Calendar – right into your own!  And you can color code various calendars to distinguish AWANA events from your family’s.  My family’s events are blue, AWANA events are red.

You can’t modify AWANA events, you can only see them in your own calendar.  But, if the leaders of AWANA update dates/times in the AWANA calendar, those events are immediately updated in your copy.

To integrate the AWANA Calendar into your own, the AWANA Commander will need to “share” it with you.  All we need is your email address.  When it’s been shared with you, you’ll know it because you’ll receive an email.

Use the Contact Us link to send your email address to us.  We look forward to hearing from you.
