Sometimes parents ask us what items they need to purchase for their kids to participate in Awana at Mt. Airy Bible Church. If you’re not sure what you need, please see our Awana Ordering Guide page. Or download a PDF version of our Ordering Guide, print it, and bring it with you on any Wednesday night.
We want your opening night check-in experience to go smoothly and as quickly as possible.
Please download our Opening Night Guide. It lets you know where to bring your children, where to register, and where to order books, uniforms, etc.
The first night’s check-in will go fastest if you:
- Pre-Register your children.
- Pre-Order books, uniforms, etc.
On subsequent Awana nights, bring your children to their assigned classrooms. If you need to order supplies or have any questions, please go to our Admin Room, room 123. It’s open all year round.

This year, Family Bible Films makes it easy for you to answer their toughest questions with the fun and FREE DVD, Why Do We Call It Christmas, from VeggieTales creator Phil Vischer! In this entertaining film, your children will join intrepid newsman, Buck Denver and all of his friends from What’s In The Bible on an amazing journey to discover the real story of Christmas and how our favorite Christmas customs all celebrate the birth of Jesus!
The Official Check-In Process:
Check-in time is 6:30-6:45 pm.
- Go to the check-in table for your child’s club (Cubbies, Sparkies, etc.). (map)
- Bring your child to the appropriate room (by 6:45).
- Go to Admin-Table (by elevator) if you have any questions for the Awana Commander or need to order items.

Cool New Shirt for 3rd Grade
Awana introduces a new T-shirt design for 3rd grade this year. If your clubber is registering for 3rd grade, you’ll need to order one of the new t-shirts. Sorry, you can’t use a hand-down. Please go to the T&T Order Page and let us know what size you need. New style shirts are listed as “Uniform T-Shirt for 3rd Grade” on the order form.
Fourth graders continue to wear the “old” style shirts they had last year as 3rd graders. If you need a new one, they’re listed as “Uniform T-Shirt for 4th Grade” on the T&T Order Page.

Put the power of Google Calendar to work for you and your family.
If your busy family has discovered the power of this free tool, you no doubt love it. If you haven’t, we really encourage you to look into it.
Here’s how it works in a nutshell: your family creates their own Google Calendar. Husband and wife access it from their PCs and smart phones. It’s a great way to keep in sync as a family and know what everybody’s doing.
Now here’s the neat thing about Google Calendars. You can integrate other calendars – like MABC’s AWANA Calendar – right into your own! And you can color code various calendars to distinguish AWANA events from your family’s. My family’s events are blue, AWANA events are red.
You can’t modify AWANA events, you can only see them in your own calendar. But, if the leaders of AWANA update dates/times in the AWANA calendar, those events are immediately updated in your copy.
To integrate the AWANA Calendar into your own, the AWANA Commander will need to “share” it with you. All we need is your email address. When it’s been shared with you, you’ll know it because you’ll receive an email.
